Examining the Refugee Problem in Israel

On March 30, 2007 the Herald Tribune report that the Prime Minister of Israel, Ehud Olmert, had stated that Israels policy would henceforward be that they would not let a single Palestinian refugee into Israel. This action is one of a series of continuing counter decisions from both sides of this age-old conflict. I will be examining this decision, the record track up to it, and my beliefs as to the resultant outcome of the lengthiness of this sort of policy on the world and the region from the panorama of three different ideological belief structures, to include bolshie Imperialism, Realism and Constructivism. I will describe both how these ideologies move be used to understand this decision and the history leading up to it, and what the future will likely hold because of it.
I will begin this paper with an examination of the history of the region, including the rail line of modern day Israel as well as the reactions of the environ Muslim nations to its creation and the impact those reactions make water had on current Israeli policy.



Starting with the era of British Imperialism and its influence all over the modern political landscape in the area, and continuing on to the modern day, I will examine the impact that external forces need had on the region, including a fostering of the continuation of hostilities that have resulted in many of the current actions being taken by Israel. Throughout this historical examination I will abridgment the methods by which the three different theoretical perspectives I have mentioned previously can view this policy and its origins.
